SIG Play

The first meeting of the newly founded SIG Play took place at the last Annual Meeting in St. Gallen. Current research was presented, and potential activities and goals of the SIG Play were discussed. One of the aims was to develop a framework on the topic of “Play in early childhood (0-9 years)”.

What do we know about the significance of play for children’s development and well-being?

How can adults promote children's play?

The framework will contribute to the development of a common mission statement based on current state of research, to strengthen the transfer between science and practice, and to initiate new research collaborations. Those interested in participating and contributing to the SIG Play are very welcome to join the mailing list. Further information and activities of the SIG Play will be communicated and shared via this list. Participation is open to all members (Juniors, Seniors, Associate Members) but also to newly interested parties. If you want to participate, please contact us at info@earlychildhoodresearch.ch.
